"The way they hire people sometimes, some people deserve to be hired but sometimes they don't hire them, some people don't deserve hiring and they hire them (some politics need to be changed)."

"Use the co-op program as a great source to hire the deserved people."

"Driving far places to obtain information for the power plants."

"Have different sides of the energy industry to interact more with each other. i.e. fossil generation side with power distribution side."

"Pick the right people for the right position."

"I like the work flexibilty because I work from home several days a week. I like my job enviornment and my team members. We work together to figure out problems. Upper management seems to keep employees very well informed of things happening at the company. Also, the company seems to want to do what is right for its employees, which in turn makes the company a better place."

"My tips include being honest, open, and not adverse to change."

"There is nothing that I do not like about the company. I really hate to leave. I have been here for over 10 years and I love it, however I have to be with my family."

"My suggestions include to keep an open mind and always respect your employees."

"Nothing much. I was a contractor."

"Very territorial."

"Give the managers ethical and managerial training. People are promoted without going through basic training."

What do you like about working at DTE Energy?

"I worked for the Company for 23 years and as a prior contractor for nine months. DTE is a great Company. I'm very attached to the Company. I like the structure of the Company. I think the compensation/benefits is fair but conservative. And from a shareholder's perspective, that's what you're after. I would recommend DTE energy as a place to work and invest. You're not going to find a better place to work."

"Opportunity to be an out of the box thinker and able to implement new ideas for improvement."

"Just be yourself and sell yourself"

"nothing to suggest since management decisions and operations usually stems as to what the company needs to be profitable and competitive."

"The rotation system for co-ops."

"I wish DTE would hire co-ops for as long as they are in school. In other words, I wish there was no rotation system."

"High level of job security for those that perform well. I was able to assist during union contract negotiations and found that opportunity to be a wonderful growth experience."

"While I was here, I had an opportunity to work in areas (eg: SAP) I hadn't in the past."

What don't you like about working at DTE Energy?

"The drive! I lose a waking day of my life every week just in road-time. Add to that a current cost of $2.70/g for gas, and there is a real and tangible monetary cost to working this far away. There are politics, but that's par for the course at most companies - although I will submit that DTE has more politics that even Ford Motor..."
