"It's a good place to get started, nothing more or less than a typical retail job."
"I have been an ASM for 4 months and I have been an employee for 10 months total. I get no health insurance. Night shifts aren't distributed fairly among the 3-4 managers a store typically has. I work 5 of the 7 nights a week. UNFAIR!! Constant clutter. Day shift managers consistently misplace office supplies and they don't put up their u-boats or their trash. Poor quality cleaning supplies (vacuum/mop) for closing shift to use. Little help from upper management. I do SM work without SM pay."
"Great place to work and meet some great customers and coworkers."
"Not a bad part time job. However it is not skilled labor and the pay is pretty bad."
"I have worked for Dollar Tree since 2005 and have seen a lot of changes. It used to be a great company to work for, but with the economy the way it is there have been a lot of cuts. It's understandable but makes it difficult sometimes. Also, there isn't room for upward mobility. They continue to hire District Managers from outside the company without offering the position to current managers with a lot of experience and dedication."
