"My experience has been knowledgeable but trying."
What do you like about working at Collegiate Housing Services?
"I like the fact that the work and responsibility falls solely on me. I create my office hours and organize my days accordingly to the amount of work I have in each school and apartment. But really what I love is working with the people; I like the sense that I am making a profound impact on these young peoples lives. It is satisfying when your efforts are recognized and appreciated."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"BE ready, its a lot of work but when you help the students you will feel the rewards of the extra hours put in."
What don't you like about working at Collegiate Housing Services?
"Sometimes I really cannot imagine how I get all the work done. 4 schools, so far apart from each other is a night mar all on its own but when you factor in the general work I need to have finished every day and add all the externalities that occur in a living environment and you have one amazingly packed schedule. Sometimes I truly feel over worked and under paid. Also I really want to work for a company I see myself having a future with, one that will appreciate and reword me for my hard work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Management must be friendly but firm. I believe the key to good leadership is being a role model but remembering you are coworkers. Also, organization is key to good management skills. You need to be confident but well organized in order to accomplish task with accuracy."
