"Most of the people are fantastic, and genuinely enthusiastic about the industry they support."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"I wouldn't recommend it. Digital distribution has come to comic books. Digital distribution tends to flatten out layers of business process. Diamond is America's sole remaining distributor of physical, printed comic books. Their future is not bright."
What don't you like about working at Diamond Comics?
"Lack of consistent senior management support and direction. Lack of backing on critical issues."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Wake up. Get serious. You have a ticking two-year clock that will destablize or eliminate your company when the alarm goes off."

"This was a start up which was sucssful, enjoyed working with the product, my boss and my peers."

"As the distribution side of the business does not exist (now owned by Plow & Hearth), no."

"We worked for a not for profit business so decisions were slow in coming to meet the needs of the business."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"They made the decision to sell the business to the parent Company of AB&C instead of trying to fix what was wrong with the business."

"I worked there 26 years. It used to be a great place to work."

"Get a contract with a fair severance package signed before you agree to work there. Your going to need it."

"The owners changed upper management about two years ago. The new management team did not understand this type of business (Ag equipment). They are trying to turn it into a car manufacturing company, it will never work."

"Get out of the office and go learn the business from the customers point of view."

"The business has been sold so I am no longer familiar enough to comment."

"I used to like the family atmosphere and teamwork. It was full of unselfish hard working people."

"Now is not a good time. Until the new owners settle down and get the right people in place it is not a good place to work."

"They have been bought out by another company that is not people centered. Everyone is afraid to speak up for fear of losing their jobs."

"Learn the business from the ground up before you start making major changes."
