2.9DinnerWire is a start-up but is funded solely by the owner/CEO. This is a very small office and the owner is a business person not a tech person. Not a professional engineering process, I felt like I was developing bad habits there. Pay was lower than average with no founder stock or benefits. So they brought in people they could get who would work cheap. This lead to high turnover since they either weren't good and were fired or if they were any good they would leave for another job.
2.3Very frustrating job. Privately owned company where the owner was not technically literate. Since it was a tech start up this led to a very frustrating environment. There was also a lot of micro management but since the owner didn't know anything about computing this became obnoxious. Also there was no formal engineering process in place and so I felt that if I would have stayed I would have developed poor habits and never learned best practices.
