Specifically, DigI manufactures embedded devices that communicate with local sensor networks, and push data aggregated from these networks up to the cloud for client applications to analyze. 4/5 stars because of no mentoring or training program, and a very disorganized documentation system."

"Great work environment. Everyone was friendly and willing to help with anything."

"Be prepared for the interview. Research the company and your position."

"I really can't think of anything I didn't enjoy about working there."

"I feel that perhaps the company was getting too big to keep acting like a small business."

"Usually interesting projects. The engineers at my site were a great group, and our boss was excellent."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't. Unless you are in Minnetonka, you will be laid off in five years (average value). They buy smaller companies and essentially gut them. It been a repeat pattern for the last 15 years or so, probably more."

What don't you like about working at Digi?

"Considerable project thrash. Upper management (above first-line supervisor) had no consistent vision of the company, just an eye on quarterly reports."

"Give up, let someone who knows how to run a company take over."

"I was happy with my position. To be promoted I would need to move to the corporate headquarters in Minnesota."
