"I worked for Diebold for 12 years, compensation was low, stress was high and the management uncaring. More and more responsibility added without any corresponding wage increase and you are also left with out a home life. Your shift hours change randomly so the company pays the least amount in overtime without any consideration to you."

"I've worked with Diebold for 1 year exactly. The company and benefits are great for my area of the country. Unfortunately they rely too heavily on teams led by team leaders with too much authority. If the team leader is an honest person it would be a possibly perfect working environment for those that like to work "in the field". I happen to have a less than ethical team leader that makes life for his teammates unnecessarily harder than it should be. I show him respect and go on about doing my job the best I can. Let's face it, I'm not happy here. I want to be writing code and making iPhone apps. Other than those 2 issues, I have no complaints with Diebold and I am proud to work for them."

"I've worked with Diebold for the past 2 years, deploying new systems that run on the Windows 7 platform. This includes configuring the system and supporting the system after it's been implemented. We've been converting all systems over to Windows 7 from Windows XP this year, it's been a nationwide undertaking."

"Company is driven only by profit. They don't care about personnel or quality. It would be a okay place to start but, not for a career."

"Diebold gives you the freedom to do a very good job for clients, unfortunately they are a long time hardware provider trying to become a software company. They have a long history of layoffs so job security is questionable and they seem to keep the same managers around that foster confusion over creation of quality products."

"The independence of the job has its appeal. But like any job there are the same frustrations with lazy fellow employees and management that does not worry about its staff because they aren't exactly sure what they are doing."

"My time as a technical writer intern at Diebold went well, though it's not a company that has positioned itself well for growth, at least for the near future."

"Since I became an employee of Diebold, I have found they have some good leaders but the environment is not conducive to new ideas or change. I noticed ideas tend to be constantly recycled by the executive staff members. With the resources the organization has at it's disposable we should be an industry leader vs. following the treads."

"The culture of the company has taken a drastic turn for the worst; the associates are not treated as individuals who add value but are a cost and burden. As a result of the poorest decision making by senior management, the employees are forced to pay for the aforementioned poor decisions by losing their jobs and working in a hostile, uncertain environment."

"I worked at Diebold for nearly 20-years. For the majority of that time, it was an outstanding work environment with many opportunities for growth. I was a warrior who supported the direction of the company and always defended it. I enjoyed my time there and would have loved to one day retire from Diebold. Unfortunately, my position was 1 of 700 to be eliminated recently under a global realignment plan that has been implemented under Diebold's new executive leadership team."

What don't you like about working at Diebold?

"One of the reasons I am leaving is that I felt I was not challenged enough at the job. As a fresh face in the working world, the company offers a great opportunity for a good entry level position; however, after being there for so many years, I felt I was not able to reach my full potential because of the lack of challenge and there was no room for advancement in the company. While I did enjoy working there and appreciate the skills I developed while with the company, I feel my skill set can be better utilized elsewhere, where my capabilities are more recognized and there is the opportunity for growth."

What suggestions do you have for management?

Subject could be: - Write something positive every day on piece of paper posted on the office door. - Have a competition who deliver most high fives or thumb ups between department meetings, - Do exercises at peoples desks ones every hour - just one or two minutes."
