"I like working with most of the employes at the jail."

"Just be yourself. Tell the truth about yourself and it will get you in the door."
What don't you like about working at Wake County Sheriff's Office?
"I really don't like interacting with the inmates, I just don't feel comfortable."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I think that management needs to hire more people to work in the jail."
What do you like about working at Bexar County Sheriff's Office?
"I really enjoyed the support from coworkers the Sheriffs office was bonded together through the brotherhood of the officers."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Be prepared to work a lot of mandatory overtime 16+ hours a day."
What don't you like about working at Bexar County Sheriff's Office?
"The direct supervisors were very aware of their officers but were somewhat ineffective due to the lack of support from upper management."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to the employees when suggestions are given instead of rushing to an evaluation of an employee."
What do you like about working at Polk County?
"Its not bad for a younger person. The pay and benefits are great however."

"Ask as many questions as you can before taking this job."
What don't you like about working at Polk County?
"It can be very dangerous dealing with inmates. This job could use more structure in its rules and safety as far as keeping officers private lives more private."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Listen to staff and understand them. Try to make this job as stress free for employees as they can."

"I got along with the juveniles and the staff on the same level as me fine."

"The staff over me was hateful, racist, and inconsistent in how they ran things."

"Fire everyone and hire an entirely different group of supervisors in the detention center."
