Desktop Engineer at TD Ameritrade
in Omaha, NE

What do you like about working at TD Ameritrade?

"The people, great benefits, job never gets boring or repetitive."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Overall it's a great company with several areas of opportunity. The benefits are great, the pay in Omaha is good, and there are a lot of great people."

What don't you like about working at TD Ameritrade?

"Senior management tends to dictate products or solutions without considering the advice or recommendations of the team. Small teams are expected to do the work that require a team twice the size. No personal recognition. Management often pulls engineers off a Project to have them work on unnecessary favors for senior management or executives causing us to fall behind on the important projects or rush them to completion with often sloppy results."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay attention to others during meetings and one on one conversations. Trust the team to make the right decisions, provide support for the team to help everyone be successful, no micro-managing, and respect the teams personal time."
