"Lack of leadership, department in-fighting, competing sales initiatives pitting sales people in different divisions against one another, a lack of professionalism and a tolerance for delinquent and even abusive behavior amoung employees and between employees and management."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Set-up a strong central command by strengthening the hand of the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief, as opposed to dispersing leadership at departmental levels. Develop a singular vision with fiscal and editorial goals that are well-thought out, planned and directed on an annual basis with quarterly, monthly and weekly reviews and reportinhg so the appropriate actions can be taken to stay the course or get back on track. Initiate a policy of Zero Tolerance for unprofessional behavior which leads to formal warnings and terminations of insubordinate employees."
