What do you like about working at Dermalogica?
"The products were mostly wonderful. I really believed in the product line. The owner was very motivational.I thought that this would be a long term position that I would really love."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Go to another company, really. Its just not worth any amount of money to be here."
What don't you like about working at Dermalogica?
"I worked as a sales manager in the field. My boss there was very demanding, and the position consumed all of my time. It was a 24/7 position and was very high stress level. You dont just work their..they actually own you. ( at least that is what it felt like ) None of the people that worked with me are there anymore. The turn over is very high since no one can stand all of the stress."

"Sell the company and retire."

"I really enjoyed the people I met and worked with during my tenure at Dermalogica; they were what kept me going back day after day."

"There are FAR BETTER places to work. Don't be dissuaded by the reputation of the brand. It is simply a brand, and not a good place to work."
What don't you like about working at Dermalogica?
"The 'high school clique' mentality as well as the nepotism. Unless you had connections through family or past employment you were not given opportunities to advance. They rarely gave raises which made an impact. The cost of living increased dramatically over the past four years, and a 2% increase was not only not competitive, but not appropriate."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Clean the Slate and start fresh. That happened, yet due to Nepotism and clique mentality things went right back to where they had been. There were MANY good managers who believed in the brand, yet could not stomach the culture."
