"The culture is not very pleasant at the ground level."

"Change the culture at the ground level and empower the employees."

"Working with some down to earth people who are honest, respectful, and support advancement and new ideas."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"No. I cannot recommend working for Pickens County, as they cannot compensate their employees sufficiently."
What don't you like about working at Pickens County Sheriff's Office?
"Compensation on many levels cannot be taken seriously. It is insufficient for managing the basics of a household."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The county must take its protectors seriously. These men and women put their lives on the line for the community, and they are not given the basics to manage a financially responsible life in return."
What do you like about working at LA County Sheriff's Department?
"field patrol was my favorite thing to do because it involved using my people skills in many different capacities, which I was good at."
What don't you like about working at LA County Sheriff's Department?
"I hated the in house politics. A lot of favoritism shown to suck ups."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"The sheriff's department was in the process of a court ordered change intended to change the good old boy system of awarding promotional jobs. My suggestion to management would be to continue in the direction ordered by the court."

"I liked being a Deputy Sheriff."

"The patrol staff has increased today, so apply. It's a good place to work."
What don't you like about working at Riverside County Sheriff Department?
"The crime was out of control for the number of Deputies who patrolled the area. Eight Deputies on a shift for 320 square miles."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Conduct more training for the Deputies."
