"I love meeting new people, the customers are awesome. Sometimes you get some really rude customers but the ones that are nice really make up for the rude ones."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't do it they will work you to death and pay you nothing."
What don't you like about working at Stein Mart?
"I do not like how we are asked to move something then the management comes and moves it again. We move things around way to much.The pay sucks and the raises. I feel that the hours are not distributed the right way. I feel like management is very money hungry, I feel that is why they do not give the proper raises. The employees are over worked. I am trying to figure out if the employees that are over worked, if Stein Mart is taking advantage of their employees or really looking out for their employees. I work in the shoe department and I do not have enough hours or time to help customers, because I am constantly moving shoes. myself and another employee was asked to try another position, I worked in the ladies department and she was in the shoe department. I was told that I would be the lead for the shoe department, I found out later that it was announced on my day off that I was the new lead and the other lady was the new ladies manager. I was not getting paid to be a lead. I was still making the same. Then I was told that by October I would be made the lead with the hours and a pay raise. It started out as a temp position, but was made final a couple months later."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would make sure I had enough employees to cover all departments. I would make sure my employees were treated fair and received raises when they are due. I feel the employees are over worked."
What do you like about working at Nordstrom?
"It's fun. I love my coworkers, but some of the managers are unrealistic and cause a lot of stress for their team."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Make sure you do your research, because they like for you to know about the company, and make sure you are friendly and outgoing and good with customer service."
What don't you like about working at Nordstrom?
"It's just some of the managers are overbearing, and micro-manage, and sometimes it is very stressful."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would be more specific with my employees and make sure to assign projects that can definitely get completed in one day. Also, I would not hold them accountable for others' mistakes, and I would make sure everyone is getting treated equally. And I would never try to rush my employees to do a project that I waited to the last minute to assign."
What do you like about working at PETCO?
"I love coming in to work every day because I get to meet new people every day, as well as deal with different situations needing different resolutions. The customers are the reason I go in to work with a smile on my face."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Every store has different growth opportunities. It is based on the GM and what becomes available at that specific store."
What don't you like about working at PETCO?
"There is not enough of a challenge in my position."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There is always a new way of doing things, and every day I would see what can be done differently, to try and better my company every day. I would take ideas and suggestions from the people that work the front line, because I have come to realize that the people you have on the front line usually have the best ideas."

"I greatly enjoyed the marketing and sales aspect of my position. I organized many events in and outside of the spa and mage many contacts. I also enjoyed hiring and trainingof my 28 employees."

"Make it known if advancement is what you desire and continue to follow up and make contacts."
What don't you like about working at Elizabeth Arden?
"There isnt any room for growth in the company. Once you are given a tiny promotion you are pigeon holed into that position and title."

"Promote from within, listen to their employees concerns and ideas we are the ones dealing with the public on a daily basis."

"Garden Botanika was a diverse and well placed company with good emplloyees and on-site management, the daily duties were challenging with substantial goals to complete assigned tasks."

"Since the company filed for bankruptcy in 1999 and then was sold I do not have any more insight as to the running of the day to day operations."
What don't you like about working at Garden Botanika?
"The only dissatisfing account about Garden Botanika was the senior managements goal with keeping the copany going forward."

"My suggestion to management was to relax and growth and maintain the stability of the company current assests."

"Do your homework, research the company before you consider them as an employer. They claim to be a Christian oriented company, but they are not. They do not care about the employees, or anything that goes on with them."
What don't you like about working at Hobby Lobby?
"The politics within the employees"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Learn to be more compassionate, the district managers need to stop treating the employees like they are beneath them. Our DM wouldn't allow hourly employees to speak to him."

"The employee's working there were very knowledgable in there profession. My department worked great as a team."

"You can never loose whith professionalism"

"Many changes have been made in the way promotions are determined. They no longer are promoting within the company"
