A total of 13 Denver Health Medical Center employees gave Denver Health Medical Center an average happiness rating of 3.9 out of 5.0.
2.3Denver Health is a corporation. Employees are treated like a number. It's always open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Employees are expected to show up to work regardless whether there are blizzard/snowstorm warnings or hazardous conditions. There is a strict attendance policy. If the employee is to be 1 minute late, that is an occurrence. When leaving early, is an occurrence. If there's an emergency whether for family or self, it's an occurrence. If 6 occurrences accumulated, then a corrective action is being initiated. Also if one is working 8a to 5p, he/she must take PTO for any type of appointments including medical, dental, renewal of registration, etc.
There's only a maximum of a 2% raise, and that is dependent on how one's peers/coworkers review him/her. A peer/coworker could write either positive/negative things on their reviews. If the person who's being reviewed for their annual performance does not get a good review, little or no raise are given. It's very stressful.
3.2I have worked with Denver Health since 2011. I find the services that Denver Health provides to the surrounding communities instrumental to overall health. We have over 15 out clinics, with some clinics averaging up to 75k visits per year. 20 school based clinics, a roaming mammogram van with satellite technology. Denver Health currently employs more than 5K employees.

4.3Denver Health is a great company to work for - the only complaints that I have are the same complaints that you could say about any hospital in Colorado. I think that their policies are fair. Most importantly, they really stand up for their staff members. The almighty patient satisfaction score is not always king here, they truly believe in providing high quality care for all patients.
