"The first two years at Dell, 1995-1997 was the best work experience of my life. The following three, particularly when the layoffs began, were the worst in my life. I made the decision to leave the company 1 month after the 3rd round of layoffs in 2000 to work full time as a vendor to Dell and other companies."

"The culture has devolved to one of selfishness, fear and paranoia. People no longer care about quality, much less building things that will be easy to update in the future; it could be extremely frustrating."

"Executive team. Executive team with guaranteed $20M+ a year deal that do not have to produce at least 10x of their pay. Executive team that do not know PC industry, products, or their customers. Always a follower never a leader."

"Michael, wake up! You last round of executive hires is driving your company to the ground. By out sourcing everything, you have eliminated your revenue potential to save cost. No revenue growth no future. What made Dell #1 was a great team of employees (who developed, manufactured and delivered great products) and a small and agile executive team who did not need power points to generate power points."
