3.3I started with dck in 2006. We were working on some schools in the Houston and San Antonio areas . I was asked to go to Puerto Rico in 2013 to build a mall in San Juan . After finishing it in late 2014 I returned to Texas and continued work in San Antonio for 2 new Elementary Schools . I left dck to try and save my marriage by working locate locations in Houston . In early 2017, dck called me to see if I would consider coming back to go to Bermuda and build a "Ritz Carlson Hotel" ? since, at this point I was single I agreed and went to Bermuda . Late in 2018 the project was placed on hold to refinance and it's still currently shut down . I've traveled all over the Caribbean until 2019 when they asked me to come to Calistoga, California to help finish an "Four Seasons Resort" . Which is where I'm currently working .
2.1I've worked for this company for over 2 years. When hired, I was told raises were absolutely possible. I have since learned that employees go years without them. I am effectively making less money now than when I started. There is no opportunity for advancement and no job security for women in this field. We have had over 10 people quit at my location since I started here, making it hard to stay positive. I've lost my will to take on more work as I know I will not be compensated in kind.
4.8dck worldwide is an organization that absorbs newcomers as if they have been with dck for ages the seniors extend full support to the newcomers. Absorbing the newcomer in the team giving them the confidence to come forward and discuss anything pertaining to plans or work done.
