Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"DON'T DO IT!!!! HEED my warning. The training is NON-existent; you have to train yourself. They will lure you in with pay but this is not worth the extra two or three dollars an hour. I work my tail off and all I dream about is working retail for less pay, but if it wasn't for someone to show the patients care and understanding, as I feel so bad for them, I would quit TODAY!!! I'm already in too deep. Save yourself and just don't take the job! If something else comes up comparable within a couple dollars of what I make now, I am leaving, NO question there!"
What don't you like about working at DaVita?
"I am worked to DEATH. I have never in my life seen such a horrible attitude towards patients' lives, employees, and allowing outright laziness among staff to go on for so long, not just in my clinic, but several I have worked at local to my home. I am shocked and amazed. I can't believe all the work you require the techs to do daily. That's just unbelievable. Have you no sense of the term, overworked It spills over to the patients, and no wonder they are getting treated so poorly - the staff is tired and overworked!!!"
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Reuse, bicarb, water checks, patients' machine set-ups, take-downs, cleaning, disinfecting, and the incredibly LONG and drawn out shift changes are HORRID at best. No one is willing to speak up and say they are overworked You need to come out of the office a bit and take a look around the clinics at shift change and note the times. 3-4 hour shift changes are UNACCEPTABLE!!! That's far too long for any one employee to undergo that kind of stress and, yes, shift changes are stressful!!"
