Dallas Housing Authority Employee

"First please change the average salary you have for DHA. My starting pay with $13.75. And in 8 years I am now at $16.55. $17.00 IS NOT THE AVERAGE. When I accepted this job I was desperately in need of worked. But was told I would be evaluated yearly. That only happen the first 3 years and I have not had one since. After researching and seeking with others I learned that I am highly under paid. And that my position paid more 10 years ago at DHA then it does today. I have co- workers that make almost double my pay. Because they were fortunate enough to be employed by DHA before Mary Ann Russ came in and lowered salaries. Why? To cover the raises and incentives she came the staff she brought in. 4 years ago myself and 2 co- working sat down with the CEO to expresses our concerns. He said that research should be done to compare salaries of other agencies. And to please be patient. Now in our department we have lost 5 employees to new jobs and other reasons. And we were told directly by our supervisor that there is no plans to hire anyone. So now we are getting more work and not being compensated. I really like my job but feel like any idiot. Being dedicated to a company that is giving me nothing."
