"Management needs to value every department, even those that you do not understand fully."

"I like the people I work with and the store manager is very reasonable and understanding."

"The hiring process on all levels has become more intense. They are looking for well qualified people and its starts with the interviews and the training."

"Depending on the manager, promotions can be favored and therefore harder for some."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The company is in the process of restructuring their entire image to the consumer, so the new employees go through a rigorous training course and learn the new structure and core values etc. Management needs to share that information with the existing employees because it doesn't seem that there is a focus towards those that have been there."

"This job has a steady pay which I like. It also has good demographics for the future of consistent retail sales growth."

"What you come in as (pay wise) is pretty much what it will be for the long run. Corporate philosophy seems to be 'you are what you are'. Unpaid training makes it a personal chore to advance in the company."

What don't you like about working at CVS?

"CVS Caremark doesn't pay well. They treat workers like slaves with the mindset of plantation owners."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management should work on making sales and profit bonuses available to everyone in the organization. Turning key areas of the front store operations from a supermarket oriented operation into a sales operation would benefit the company. They should also redo the stock receiving operation to smooth out inventory."

"I enjoyed everything! I enjoyed the work environment and the job duties that was set for me to complete each day."

"Management at CVS Caremark should correct the problems, instead of simply blaming others. Look internally to see what is working and what isn't."

"Some of the customers are interesting to talk to and I enjoy being able to help them out with their prescriptions."

"If you're going into retail pharmacy for the first time, do not start around January when insurance problems are at their worst."

"Patients have a tendency to fall through the cracks due to how busy we are. The production line way of working with prescriptions keeps workers sort of uninformed, so when problems arise, they are difficult to handle."

"Management should not make promises for expediency and they be more truthful about the capacities of our work ability."

"The medical and 401k were the only good products of CVS Pharmacy."

"Don't interview unless you need experience and then only stay the less amount of time you need."

"The 16 hour days with no lunches or breaks and I was not paid my overtime in four years!"

"The LP person need to be replaced and RI management team needs to come in and overhaul the system."

"I enjoyed my fellow team members and management. They were family orientated, considerate, and provided the tools to help their staff succeed."

"I disliked that the pay rate was competitive but for the effort put forth we deserved more."

"If I was CEO, I would dedicate more money to security in the more depressed areas of the company."

"The management at CVS pharmacy is one of the best I have ever seen, so I have no suggestions."

"I like CVS Caremark because the locations is desirable and you have the ability to transfer to other locations if needed."

"Recruiters need to work harder to find a good fit for internal candidates based on their resume and skills, not just pursue the hiring manager's pre-picked candidate for a posted internal position."

"At CVS Caremark, we are able to work from home one day a week."

"I would put more value in my human capital and balance stockholder satisfaction and profit with employee appreciation in meaningful ways like better benefits, better pay, better perks for working for a Fortune 18 company."

"I like the fact that I get to be on my feet and that the healthcare at CVS Pharmacy is above average for the type of work."

"If applying for a cashier job make sure you are very friendly and outgoing. If applying for a shift supervisor make sure you come in being personable and polite."

What don't you like about working at CVS?

"There are long hours for your low salary and I had to work every single holiday, Its very hard to get time off and work/ life balance is somewhat hard to manage."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Would make sure the every employee felt valued and made sure that promises that were made were kept. Furthermore, time off would be given and be given fairly for family life would not be ruined! Note to CVS, no one shops CVS on Thanksgiving or Christmas, no reason why upper management have it off and make store staff work terrible hours!"

"I liked nothing. I'm not happy because it's not a fair working environment."

"I do not enjoy that the long term employees are not very productive or held accountable to anything."

"Management should be concerned about the future changes with longer hours and lesser pay, plus theres not enough help to complete tasks at store level."

"Be positive about yourself. Have a reasonable but firm starting salary in mind. They will pay you as little as possible. Annual raises are in the 10 cent/hour range."

What don't you like about working at CVS?

"I don't enjoy the low pay and irregular hours. Good employee programs but very bad at giving employees time and info needed to use them."

"Scary to think how much money this company could make if they would implement LEAN, cut waste, and upgrade IT."
