"I don't know what kind of store these other people work in, but I work in a solitary store in a pavilion, not a mall. The atmosphere is always busy, bustling with activity. So far I have no issue with anything and I'm a newbie, I screw up so many times it's hilarious. It's the type of atmosphere where if you do well, you are rewarded, if you do badly, you're going to have problems. There is some faith in humanity for weeding out idiots. I was hired to replace one of those said idiots. My coworkers are goal oriented and sometimes competitive, but they never get out of control or hurtful about it. They play nerf foot ball when there are no customers to promote the fact we are a team, and we should be friendly with each other. And then my manager nearly knocks a light out. We all cover for him like friends in school. I love the clique of it, and it's easy to get into. Just do your job. Simple as that."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Don't be an idiot. Blue is blue. Charcoal is not brown-gray, not black. Black is black. gray is gray. Don't be stupid. Ever. Have a sense of humor, remember you are competing, but you are not trying to snuff them out. You are still a team at the end of the day, so be on your toes, do your job, and you will do well. Most of all, smile. Who do you remember and want to see again The pissy employee that sold you 1 shirt Or the smiling, friendly employee that made you laugh so hard you couldn't breathe and sold you 1 shirt It's all about the atmosphere and self image. Be confident, be stubborn, and be SMART."
What don't you like about working at Men's Wearhouse?
"The competition at times make the consultants a bit edgy, but it's understandable. I'd be edgy too in their position. Sometimes the other stores will try and screw over your sales by not shipping a product on time, and it's a bit disappointing to get hung up on. But it's seldom and the co-workers are easily de-stressed with a cup of water and a few smiling customers sent their way. My only beef is sometimes the work load on the CSA is a bit frantic, putting up 30 shirts, 100 ties, and still helping Mr. Customer over there at the tuxedo desk. You HAVE to learn how to prioritize; and if you can't learn that, you WILL fail in this job. Being a woman, I don't get as many discounts as my men co-workers, but that's to be expected, it is MENS warehouse."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I would make it so every mens warehouse has a manager like mine; who has leniency for everything but idiocy."

"They have wonderful customer service to offer their customers, compared to any other department store. It's more of an experience to shop there."

"I didn't like how the career chart was laid out. I didn't feel like they had great growing opportunities to advance in their careers."
