2.3 I worked at Crown for approximately 3 years. I have been a tool and die maker for 30 years in different factories. This is the only job I ever quit without having another job lined up waiting on me. This is the most horrible place I have ever worked. Management wants all the employees to be mindless drones. You are treated like learning disabled 6 year-olds. The pay was fair but did not make up for the rest of the awfulness. Employees are micro managed to such a degree that they cannot take any pride in their job. You are just supposed to be another one of Crown's machines. I got excellent reviews while I was there so this isn't about a disgruntled employee who got fired. Unless you are living under a bridge or something, NEVER accept employment from these arrogant people!!!

There needs to be better communication with employees, the plan if there is one needs to be explained to employees. Less micro-management.

4.5 Worked at Crown since 2014. I enjoy making my own schedule and the freedom to work at my own pace. Compensation is more than fair plus a company vehicle is provided. If you are a mechanic I would highly recommend this job. Much more satisfying than auto mechanic jobs.

Crown Equipment also has regional headquarters for its international operations in Munich, Germany, and Sydney, Australia. The company has eleven manufacturing plants in the United States as well as production facilities in Germany, Australia, China and Mexico.

Founded in New Bremen by two brothers, Carl and Allen Dicke, in 1945, Crown Equipment continues to be family-run into a fourth generation. The company began as a manufacturer of temperature controls for coal burning furnaces, transitioned to television antenna rotators and electrical components, and finally moved to lift truck production in 1957. Crown Equipment went global in 1966 and now has an extensive sales and service dealer network spanning eleven countries.
