"I've worked at Crowell for almost two years. It's unique for a large international law firm in that the community is great--diverse, laid back, understanding, fun. Most of the people are wonderful and smart, and it's not an intimidating environment. Good work-life balance. Things that could use improvement: compensation. Pay for paralegals is well under the market rate, particularly for the amount of revenue the firm brings in. They try to justify this by saying that they provide more of a work-life balance, but that's not an excuse to pay employees less & paralegals are in office F/T every day with no option to work remotely. Also, in certain practice groups, the work is not exciting or challenging, and can be quite repetitive."
