"Worked at Cox on and off for 9 years. The company used to be a good employer relative to the 4 other companies I worked for in the past. The pay's decent. But almost impossible to move up the corporate ladder, unless you're in their good boy and girl network. The supervisors don't care about succession planning or employee career growth. It's not a good place to be for mid-career professionals and even harder for the aging demographics. I think HR is now paying more attention to the younger workforce and focused on bring in lots of college hires. I also witnessed discrimination for specific diversity and older age groups. Lots of seasoned employees being packaged out every 6 months."
"Great company! Highly recommend!"
"New company with good ethics."
"I have worked for Cox Enterprises for one year. In my time I have learned how much they value employee culture and they continuously want to see their employees grow and develop with the company."
"good company to work for."
"The company lacks direction and has too much turnover"
"I worked for Cox Enterprises for nearly 13 years throughout the different companies. It was difficult to move up progressively and didn’t offer next level opportunities. I decided to move on"
"sinking ship no structure no guidance"
"The company gives me the freedom to accomplish my tasks the way that I want to on my own time frame as allowed by client needs. Sometimes more support is needed and that can be difficult to find but overall I prefer the freedom that I have to work my way and succeed at CMG. My way seems to work however, I don't know if its different for those that aren't meeting their budget expectations."
"Media company that is making a decent effort to move from legacy channels into the digital future. Spent the last five years developing a CMS in-house for all their web/mobile publishing; transition to a commercial CMS is impending. Smart engineers who get things done."
