What do you like about working at Cox Communications?

"Great at first, then absolutely the worst company I have ever worked for. I also have many documents to support all that is said. I was in the military and was honorably discharged from the Army; so please"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't work there, unless you want to see what traumatic work stress is actually about. At Cox you always put in positions where you can not excel or do your job properly. They will try to ruin your credibility if you speak up on any of the frat team management like they did to me. was in the military and was honorably discharged from the Army; so please don't relate me with some who whine about anything. This is not your typical corporate environment; I say that because some say it is just how corporate environments are run, not true since I was a member of management for two other Top 1000 Forbes Companies. I know the differences!!"

What don't you like about working at Cox Communications?

"Unethical in the way they treat customers and employees. In a paragraph or two I can explain to most on why there cable service is having issues. But, due to management not caring and wanting the employees to following the blind following the blind policy, I was terminated for knowing to much."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"This is to upper management. If you want your company to evolve and be profitable please listen to some of your front line employees instead of handing it over to your crony local leadership. I will say though that the pay is great, though it is probably to keep the retention down."

"My POV from a person in the mix and with a MBA."

What do you like about working at Cox Communications?

"My fellow techs and supervisor. We stuck to together and that made those mundane meetings and the (truly they were) lies being feed to us bearable. I have never seen a company loose they market position so quickly form indecisive management. Now it is all about skin and bones. They are beyond lean and mean."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Good luck! Other markets are not as poorly run as NOVA. Overall the company makes money in markets were they are seen in a more positive light."

What don't you like about working at Cox Communications?

"The fact that those in charge have no clue to what is involved in with building and servicing a network. All they see is numbers. They want to base a system analysis off of updated and newer plant designs, to a market that NEVER had any physical plant upgrades. Piece meal at best. The inability to write a contract for contractors and lack of supervision or conformation the work was ever done."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Nothing, but thanks for my MBA."
