"My peers have no relationship building skills and don't except outsiders and made it very clear to me."

"The rumor of hand turning over in this place is phoenomenal, not to mention the latter CEO left for that reason. bad money managing, difficulty retain employees, termination of the wrong employees, This place is completely backwards. You should check for yourself."

"Be prepared for multiple changes. If you get on the right floor with the right managers, it is a great place to work."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Difficult to speak for all managers, but I feel that if my manager cannot perform my job or has never performed my job, then they do not need to be in a management position. Some managers had favorites and was difficult to work in that type of environment."

"At the time there was nothing."

"I was super excited as a new grad to have a position with such a large company."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be very weary, I was told I would have a prety extensive orientation, that I would be self scheduling and that my preceptors were more than willing to teach new grads... None of the above have proven true thus far."

What don't you like about working at Covenant Health System?

"To say that on the job training was minimal would be overstating it. RNs carrying 7+ pts, education and training could not even be called minimal, some facilities were better than others."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"That management be truthful with new hires about the process they will be facing, and management should be able to communicate better with employees. They should not send you on a wild goose chase for answers."

"The company has strong Catholic values and has a wonderful mission team. They are going through a tremendous amount of change and lay-offs so I'd advise anyone looking to join, to let the dust settle a bit. They could use some work on communicating changes better to employees."

"I do not like that I have no opportunity for job growth. I have no way to move up in the company at all."

"I think they need to look at ways of rewarding hard workers and and not rewarding others that do not pull their share."

"It was always understaffed because they don't have any laws on ratios"

"To provide for their employees and look into their problem so people dont have to leave"

"I’ve worked for covenant health for 4 years. The pay and insurance were very good! The staff was friendly and motivated! The management was wonderful and knowledgeable! The workplace environment was laid back, but professional! There was a lot of incentive to always do your best there, but management could also be very understanding! It was a very good place to work with a lot of good values!"
