"I had 17 years of work with Country Floors, Inc."

What do you like about working at Country Floors?

"Supervisor not looking over my shoulder. Like the product. Liked the people I worked with most of the time."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Country Floors of America is owned by Marble Systems. Review these websites. Marble System's has very poor benefits. The Health Plan, and Dental Plan for families will shock you how high your contribution is. I was not able to get Insurance pay vs rate. You should realize from the beginning that you will not get Vacation Days until after the 1st year, and then 6 days with only one year added per year after that. There are 3 vacation days that are cut-off if not used at the end of the year. The Human Resource Department is actually an Accounting Department Rep that is being asked to do too many duties by Marble Systems. ADP and Marble Systems did not pay me for Overtime while I was there, which is a violation of California State Law for an Employee Non-Exempt. Watch out for the Benefits"

What don't you like about working at Country Floors?

"High Medical and Dental Employee Contribution. Vacation Days only 6 days, and only after working 1 year before receiving. The Employer had me doing too many job duties - Customer Service, Shipping & Receiving, Purchasing, Management Duties, (no day-to-day Manager), and Gardening. Cleaned up samples from last 30 years of previous company, heavy lifting, and then they terminated me after work was done. The Management is NOT GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. The Sales decreased from 1/3 of what they were in just 8 months due to VERY POOR UPPER MANAGEMENT DECISIONS."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Management of the parent Company, Marble Systems, Inc., needs to review the direction of the Upper Management of Country Floors of America. Purchasing material that we have never sold with Verbal purchase orders should never be permitted. Material being purchased that has no history of being used is not a good idea. Advertising very expensive material, FOB another country half the world away, is INSANITY, (not just a JOKE!). Taking material down from the Showroom that has a history of selling, and replacing it with material that has never sold, and has not sold is not Best Practices for any business to follow."
