"I really love to play with numbers and what we can do for decreasing the company cost. That's an important job like others, but to analyze and do budget, keep the number close is a big challenge, report monthly and do it on time. I just don't like when people look for me working in this position like a controller woman, because people don't like to be charged and that is what I do, that's part of my job."

"Limited promotional opportunities and lack of professional training and experience"

"Cross training to broaden skill sets and better prepare employees for other opportunities within the company"

"Working with the people in my department and my new boss."

"Only interview for this job if you want to work long hours, for less than adequate pay."
What don't you like about working at Marinette Marine?
"Lack of appreciation from upper management of the work you do, having to do work for people who are actually responsible for it. No accountability or consequences are upheld for those people in other departments that don't do their work and cost analysts end up having to do it for them. Everything always comes back to what the cost analyst did or didn't do, even if it is completely out of their control. Very poor work/life balance. Individuals cannot give you the answers you need from them. Inter-department team work is nonexistent."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Hold the responsible individuals responsible for the work that is there and have consequences for when deadlines are not met. Consult with the people who actually do the work before making a decision on changes."

What do you like about working at Bay Valley Foods?
"Compensation is very nice. I learned a lot the first 6 months."

"Please ask how many people have left the position, either on their own or forced out, withing the past 2 years. 3 years."
What don't you like about working at Bay Valley Foods?
"There is no career advancement or development. Long drive to work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Create an environment where differences of opinion will be truely heard and listened to. If a department has very high turnover look for the common thread rather than blaming prior employees."

What do you like about working at BP America?
"It is structured, has a flexible schedule, and is very family oriented."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Do not work through a contracting company unless that is something that you have done before and really like it. Also, it is a great company to work for once you get your foot in the door."
What don't you like about working at BP America?
"I don't like that I am a contract employee. I have a permament position but it doesn't provide the long term benefits that I am seeking. I want to build a future for myself and that is hard to do contract."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"My suggestions would be to help the employees more towards growing opportunities and help them to better themselves."
What do you like about working at Gould & Lamb?
"After many years with the company I seen it all. I have to say that the company is horrible for anyone that has a family exsp. kids good help you if you need time off work not going to happen unless you req. 4-6 months in advance. Or if your sick calling out makes you feel like your going to get fired which is why most people don't and the sickness just gets passed around. Management is a joke, they are all puppets for the VPs and most are dumber than rocks. The turn over rate is just crazy and if your manager wants to fire you for no real reasons your as good as gone. The benefits suck, they don't match 401k at all, the health insurance is $$$$$. After all the time spent and headaches totally not worth it."

"Its has nothing to do with the interviewing, they judge you right off back. Most of the time they already have someone they want they just do interviews to make it look like a fair game."
What don't you like about working at Gould & Lamb?
"You sit in a small box with a computer every day. Makes you understand why people go postal."

"Bring in management that knew what they were doing. Its sad when your manager only has a high school diploma."

"Be technically sound on your subject and articulate effectively during interview"

"Ability to implement changes in finance, cost accounting takes really a long time"

"Get more focus on cost accounting and control which helps in informed strategic decisions"

"The company is currently going through a transition. The future direction of the company is not clear."
