"Everything is outsourced, scheduling is done in the Philippines, and you will make up the time you missed, or you will pay. Threats and intimidation are all there is here, job is easy but the red tape makes it one of the worst employers in the USA, they don't care about us."

Technical and remote Management positions are quickly moved around as many of those view traditional call centers as more profitable with their higher turn around.Tenure outside of management has no weight."

"The challenges of doing more with less, few tools and resources, poor peforming support systems do make for personal skill building. I like the creativity that must be brought to the table to get the job done."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"They will give you a good job. There is room for promotion, depending on where you start. Be wary of the layoffs and sellouts. Do not expect a long career."

What don't you like about working at Convergys?

"It was difficult performing in front of customers. After a deal was sold, most would bring a technical team of 10, 20, 30 or more to the table. We did it with only a few individuals and that became embarrasing."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Consider not outsourcing everything overseas. Give people some kind of career path. Find an identity for cvg and stick too it."

"I enjoyed working here for the most part. I loved assisting customers with tech related items."

"I would not suggest this company as a good place to work."

"It is a giant call center and very difficult to move upwards or have suggestions be taken into consideration"

"A suggestion box and a company blog where employees are allowed a voice and can get responses"

"I liked talking with people on the phones. I liked hearing about their lives and being a positive influence on their day."

"If you can speak English, you'll get the job. Don't worry."

What don't you like about working at Convergys?

"It stinks to work for people with vastly lower critical thinking and problem solving skills than yourself, but it was temporary."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I would work hard to find the answers to questions posed by my employees. Employees can't do their jobs effectively if their superiors don't go to bat for them and give them all information pertaining to their job. I would make sure my employees know they can depend on me to work hard, in every area, to give them all the support they need to do their jobs well."

"favoritism on selecting managers ( it was based on the relationship than qualification)"

"company could even advance more if the management selection was based on qualifications than relationship"

"There were significant restrictions on travel which hurt relationship management opportunities."

"Management should allow more travel for business meetings for team building and collaboration."

"That is the issue. There was nothing positive about working at that company"

"The people that are promoted are friends and family not competent, educated and capable people. They will promised you the world to get you in but will not deliver once you work for them."

"The cut workers pay,The don't actually provide incentives they promise despite how hard you worked and especially in sales. THey demand sales over good customer services. Management was incompetent"

"Listen to employee complaints,reducing CEO unrealistic demands,working a day in their shoes to better understand their frustrations and worries."

"Unlimited overtime. Employees were empowered to provide the highest level of customer service and given rewards for great customer ratings."

"Have strong communication skills, great customer service, and sales experience."

"Some leadership didn't have proper training, therefore, was unable to assist in difficult situations with customers."
