"Overall good - no job is perfect! Right"
What do you like about working at Paltech?
"People (at this time) are great. There are always ups and downs, but at this time there are a lot of groups of friends in the office. Corporate culture encourages friendliness as there are often celebrations for whatever the holiday or exciting events for individuals. They let you express your individuality, as long as you are still professional.Location is great. In Rosslyn neighborhood and located in a very nice building. It is about 75% two-person close door offices and 25% cubicles, depending on position and availability during a given time. Select offices have a view of the Potomac, Georgetown and monuments. Metro is 2 blocks away and there are a lot of quick eats or restaurant options within walking distance and within the building."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Plan to arrive at the building way earlier than you need to, as it is difficult to find the office suite and everyone gets lost the first time. Dress absolutely professional and don't be late. (The obvious!)"
What don't you like about working at Paltech?
"Being a contractor, no job is guaranteed past the length of the contract. Promotion is difficult, as there are only enough positions open for what is specified in a contract. Advancement is slim to none. You can't move up until someone else leaves or a new contract is acquired, if you are qualified for the opening."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Get to know an individuals actual skills, talent, and willingness to do what it takes instead of focusing simply on numbers on a resume when considering to give them more work. Give people a chance to show their worth!"
