What do you like about working at Xerox?

"The satisfaction I get when a problem is resolved. The family bond you form with our long term customers some of which have been with us for more the the almost 30 years I've worked for the company. They know when you walk in the door you're going to resolve the issue."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Don't, you'll wish you hadn't taken the time to submit your resume."

What don't you like about working at Xerox?

"The constant daily metrics, which for the most part are meaningless. We're under constant pressure to exceed over achieving goals which for the most can't be accomplished without violating an ethics policy. The company put the I back in team. It's a dog eat dog environment. The days of putting the customer first are long gone. Our salaries have essentially been frozen. The only way to make any additional money is under a program called Xsentive which breaks down to take as many calls a day, don't spend any money repairing the equipment, but the equipment better make reliability. So we're being pressured to do and report things that you wouldn't normally do just to be able to pay your bills or plan a vacation etc..."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"The current leadership has decided to move away from the core business and focus on services. Mind you that doesn't refer to technical services. We've been tagged for replacement by a lower cost model. When you think of Xerox you first thought might be innovation, quality products etc... The current direction for the company is leading us down the drain. We need to do an about face and reinvest in our technology, and our people."
