"The staff and management at Coastal Plains initially promised periodic pay raises and improved equipment. Neither turned out to be the case. They have absolutely NO respect for their drivers. They blatantly play "favorites" when it comes to assigning equipment and loads. Only "favorites" are ever considered for promotions and advancement and then it's based not on experience or expertise but on internal company politics. Christmas "Bonus" pay used to be something we all had to look forward to...until Crude Oil prices plummeted. Over the past three years virtually EVERYONE was given a Christmas "Bonus" EXCEPT for the only ones that perform the jobs that earn virtually ALL of the companies incoming revenue...the truck drivers. Certain "Favorites" among the drivers can get away with "spills", rollovers, accidents & other property damages without any form of punishment or repercussions whatsoever...while many others are summarily "terminated" for next to nothing. They used to be a relatively decent outfit to work for in the beginning. However, now they're a Mickey Mouse outfit that's constantly changing company rules and policies, including unrealistic draconian nonsensical policies & procedures. In my honest opinion, virtually nobody has any real "future" working for Wenco Trucking...DBA Coastal Plains."
