"Advancement opportunities, no retirment/ 401 k anything towards that, and small shop."

"lots of catching up to do, organization, cleaning, stocking, inventory."

"dont push as hard and crack your employies all the time"
What do you like about working at L-3?
"The ever changing work enviroment. In my five year term with L-3 I was able to work in almost every department on the production floor. From paint, manual equipt,cnc machines, to quality."

"Nothing comes to mind. Just be honist and truthful with all your answers."
What don't you like about working at L-3?
"The fact that I was laid off due to lack of work."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"There realy isnt much that would have made a difference. All I can do is the best that I can with what I have to work with."

"Working on first shift and learning how to do the machine operator work."

"Stick to the normal three shifts and only work overtime twice a month."

"Long hours overtime and having the rotating shifts working 7 days a week some months"

"I just hope that every higher up would have seen the machine shop and talk more to opretor instead of numbers to run shop proudtion better."

"having the opportunity to form tooling and build fixtures for the machines to form parts"

"Bring a big fan with you ,there is no ventalation in the welding booths and it gets very hot"

"very dirty welding booths having to wait on materials sometimes running many many jobs"

"I would suggest thinkining about putting in a powdercoat system"

"stay positive and you will do fine.really nice company to work for if you plan on just useing this job as a steping stone"

"I really dislike the chain of operation within the shop.there is no where to advance to within the business ."

"just because you have a tittle manager infront of your names do not mean you only work when the boss is in the shop.If employees are doin your work and theirs then what are you manageing"

"Working Second shift and outdated machinery as well as safety."

"It is close to home, steady work, and a good paying job w/benefits. The necessities!"

"Know that if hired, your life will be consumed with rotating work schedules and lots of hours at work."
What don't you like about working at Alcoa?
"Anytime company policy prevents you from attending a family member's funeral or you're a cancer patient and are being told to work chemo around your work schedule, you know something's wrong with the management, but with the number of people out of work these days management has the power to replace any job."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Implement a work schedule that allows all of the work force the same opportunity to manage a healthy home/work balance. Lose the Yes Man culture, everyone in upper management has the same opinion and if you want to advance you will too. It's ok to have a different opinion."
