Vertical Account Manager

"If you are a sales rep this is not the place for you. If you are an operation person who wants to be a sales representative this is your place. Company turns a sales role into a customer service role. Stuck in 80's management style. Most sales people have no drive because that is the model. Compensation is base plus bonus, really can't control success/failure. Basically, has grown from acquisition and no real sales modeling or focus. Upper and middle management have no background in sales."

"Been at Clean Harbors for a short time as a class A driver.... it was a bad decision..the pay here is absolutely terrible...you can make more money driving an oil delivery truck...the work is hard and physical and the equipment is in dismal shape... it doesn't seem like any good people stick around..only the problem people..but I guess it's TRUE that you get what you pay for..and the drivers here are the bottom of the barrel type...no bonuses here even at xmas and absolutely NO incentives... the work is often dangerous and management is super cheap... the owner has lost touch with his core employees...the guys doing the real work !"

"Did not have my first day of work until 45 days after being offered the job. Terrible orientation. Did not set me up to know what I was doing at all. Facilities are horrendous. Department is all about their expenses and profits ratios and therefore do not take care of their people, equipment, or facilities. Often supplies needed are out of stock. Safety is not exactly a priority. It's more like get the work done, whatever it takes. I feel like I have been exposed to many chemicals while working here directly, due to the lack of safety and hygiene procedures here."

"Been here for less than a year.. this job is strenuous and low paying.. its filthy work most of the time and not very safe..you are expected to do way to much for the super low pay.. you have no bonuses or raises. They don't even give christmas bonuses.. I am looking for another job now.. I have to say that I should of never accepted this job....huge turnover rates.. mostly due to incredibly low wages and cheap management. I would never ever recommend this cheap company to amyone."

"I wanted to start by saying*** don't work for this company****. Management on most levels does not know what they are doing. Go read all the reviews on all the social media sites. You might see a few good reviews from management--of course they are going to say great things..... I want you to focus on the people who actually do the work read what they are saying. It all goes back to horrible management at many levels. They wont tell you up front they require 24-7 on call. they use tactics to manipulate the 24-7 on call. you have to carry a cell phone be fit for duty at all times. (get ready for no life) on call 24-7 as an hourly employee You absolutely should be a paid while on call. (unless paid by salary) if you do accept the job be very careful to watch your pay, mileage, pier diem. Management does not have your back if any issue arises.*** Like I said don't take my word for it read all the working field personnel reviews on all sites just google Clean Harbors reviews*****. This company will lie to you. manipulate situations. they preach safety but go out in the field and see for yourself. its almost a circus. do your family a big favor apply elsewhere! Management is in serious need of an ETHICS CLASS & Management training 101. They do not know what they are doing!"

"Most of the management personnel will lie to your face. They don’t care about the employees only money. safety is only a word. Production first at all cost. Can’t keep quality employees. Most leave for other jobs for less money. That should tell most people enough. As long as management keeps hiring people with no work ethic like the HR man at the plant it will never be a place to work. If that plant closed tomorrow it would be no loss to the community because they are not trusted and have caused several evacuations of residents in the area."
