"Clean Energy Fuels is a great company and I am happy to have worked here. Unfortunately, the FP&A team is just an extension of the accounting team since there are so many new projects online at the moment. The FP&A positions here are much more accounting focused than FP&A."

"Great Business Plan and Mission"

What do you like about working at Clean Energy?

"It was a great start-up company with good vision and business plan. The concept of the business drew me in initially, helping transform the way America uses natural gas as a transportation fuel was something truly pioneering."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Be prepared for multiple rounds of interview and being unsatisfied with the salary offer."

What don't you like about working at Clean Energy?

"The company culture and the environment did not match up to the company industry. For an environmental progressive company, the culture was stuck in a mad-men like era, where you have to wear a suit, jacket, and tie Mondays to Fridays, plus there was no flexibility in terms of working from home for those living a little further from the office. I literally suffocated working there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay attention to employees, come into the office and analyze work settings, visit all departments. Do not isolate yourself to only the sales and marketing department. Listen to concern and be open to change. Do not be stuck to operating a company in the 1980's style."
