"Great benefits and atmosphere."
"Solid company with 1200 employees. Government entity. They are the property insurer of last resort for the state of Florida."
"I would not recommend working for this company."
"I've been with Citizens for more than 5 years. The company is subject to a lot of different stakeholders, each with different (opposing in many cases) objectives. As a result, the organization mirrors the political environment it is subject to. There are a lot of really good people, who are dedicated to the overall arching mission to provide release when a disaster occurs, but they are limited by the nature of the organization and its political culture."
"I have been working with Citizens for about 5 months, I would love to work with company if they offer the full time position."
What do you like about working at Citizens Property Insurance?
"I like most of the people I work with on the day to day. But, being a governmental entity it is not as laid-back or progressive as I would like."
Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?
"Remain professional to all coworkers until you have a firm grasp of their thinking and work styles."
What don't you like about working at Citizens Property Insurance?
"I have no interest in the insurance field. So, although I don't mind my administrative work, it's not very exciting because it is directly relating to and dealing with aspects of an industry that bores me."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"Nothing, I think for the most part the way the President runs the company works well within the confides and red tape of being a governmental entity. I think working in this semi-strict and slower moving environment of government property insurance is what I don't like, not the way the company is run itself."
"It was just a contract position that helped me build my skills as in Admin Assistant."
