"Do your research into what business group within CitI you are interviewing for. Try and find trends on layoffs and the competitive landscape for that product. You don't want to start a job that won't be around in 12 - 18 months."

What don't you like about working at CitiGroup?

"Lack of mobility. Senior and mid-level managers were almost always brought in from outside while qualified employees even had trouble moving laterally."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Don't lay people off, expect those that are left to do more, then give your top leadership tens of millions of dollars in bonuses. It does nothing but drag down the morale of those that are left."

"The life of a financial advisor. It was not the appropriate career path for me."

"They had a very customer focused attitude. I was in collections and are goal was to reabilitate the customers. Get them current so they could use their card again and remain loyal customers."

"The onky thing I did not like was its distance from my home."

"About 10% of activities included collection calls. While I became proficient at this task, it wasn't exactly an enjoyable one."
