"I have worked at CITI for almost 2 years and have found that this it not a place to grow in an IT career. Little or no emphasis is placed on using current or new technology hence, there is no learning over time. The work life balance will be different doormen on the department but I think there is room for improvement."

"It was a relaxing place to work. The company is moving toward a TIER level model which is full of bureaucracies and politics."

"Just be aware of what you will be asked to sacrifice."

"Accurate"

What do you like about working at CitiFinancial?

"Not much really. The most dysfunctional place I have worked at. I have 20+ years in Auto Finance and I have seen the best. This place does not come close. The management structure is way to complicated. No one can make a decision based on the best outcome for the company because they are all covering their rearends. CitI Auto Finance needs some of the old school guys that understand the car business. The greenhorns trying to reinvent the industry are the ones who made it crash. It is a real simple business."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Act like a rookie. They will think you cannot take their job so they will hire you for safety sake."

What don't you like about working at CitiFinancial?

"The management. These rookie managers hire rookies so they can't be challenged. You end up with a bunch of people who have no clue what the auto industry is all about. Every manager I met was an ego maniac. No people skills. The pressure exerted by management on the boots on the ground was tremendous. Upper management couldn't control anything so they just screamed at anyone below them trying to get something done. Some really good people are no longer with this company because they cannot control any part of the business."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Quit."

"CitiFinancial's restructure should start at the very top."

What do you like about working at CitiFinancial?

"It used to be an excellent place to work when Sandy Weill was in charge and the name was Commercial Credit. Was very family oriented and a fun place to hang out for 9+ hours a day. Not like today where a stab in the back is just another day at the office. Some managers don't have the people skills to be managers."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Keep your options open. Have a back-up plan."

What don't you like about working at CitiFinancial?

"Today,... you know, there's not enough character spacing here to explain it. I'm glad I'm out of there."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Pay attention in those training sessions. Apply what you learn. Stop holding grudges against people you don't like."
