"Awesome place to work at!"
"I began working at Cisco Meraki in 2018 (and have been working for its parent company, Cisco Systems, since 2015). Meraki was originally a startup, acquired by Cisco and converted into a business unit in 2012. Meraki has about 2,000 people across 4 main offices, and maintains a small-company atmosphere, with the culture and perks typically associated with a San Francisco startup--but with none of the long-term financial uncertainty common to startups. Teams are small and diverse, and management respects the autonomy and intelligence of individual contributors. The overall level of talent among the engineering teams is very high, and communication is very open. Meraki's focus is on developing network infrastructure products which are simple enough for anyone to use, and this goal has a strong influence on the broader company culture, which is very positive and customer-focused."
