"It is a college or in between job due to the pay and benefits offered at the movie theater. The only excellent benefits are medical insurance and 401k offered to those qualified."

"I have worked for Cinemark since 2016 and found it to be a fast paced and challenging workplace. I was encouraged and grew quickly which resulted in 2 promotions with raises in 2 years. However, there is a clear glass ceiling that I hit after that because promotions beyond become scarce because they need to keep those skills in house. I reached out and was laterally promoted to another department to provide me with new challenges and was soon allowed to become a project lead but once again hit another glass ceiling for growth."

Yes, you may get two free movie tickets, popcorn, soda, and 50% off while clocked in. But the managers are always locked away in the office like bears in a cave for hibernation. They sleep with, belittle, ignore, give nicknames, and only gives you recognition when you don't do thing correctly. There is never respect given."

"It is a fun job and the perks are good. Its a great job to fund your college education."

What don't you like about working at Cinemark Theatres?

"The lack of employee appreciation. I feel they could do a lot more being the leading company in the industry. Also, having a region leader who doesn't like my boss puts a strain of the work environment. He comes in looking for faults instead of what good is being done."

"Be able to take unexpected blows and not to let anger from personal issues be taken out on the employees."

What do you like about working at Cinemark Theatres?

"It's easy, my coworkers are nice, management is wonderful, I get free movies for me and another person, and my general manager is very flexible with everyone's availability."

"It's a great summer job or beginner job for just a little while."

What don't you like about working at Cinemark Theatres?

"The jobs get repetitive and boring after a short time. My pay isn't what I would like after working there for a year and a half."

"I'm not sure what I would do. My manager has definitely improved our Cinemark greatly since the last manager."

"The environment is extremely immature due to the fact that most employees are still in high school."

"Try and pay attention to details. Those are the things that count for customers."

"There was not room for much originality. The day to day work was meant to be followed as laid down in company policy."

"To not frown on originality or creativity. New ways of accomplishing your work do not mean that they will not be effective, too."
