"Cigna is a large company, when working with them it is easy to feel small. I have been working in customer service for more than a decade, and while I haven't found the career I would prefer at Cigna, they have been quite accommodating as an employer as it pertains to benefits and work-life balance."

"Cigna is a great company to work for they care about their employees and really take care of us as we work through heavy work loads and make sure we bring quality care into each and every piece of work we endure."

"I used to work in-office in a run down building with poor ventilation. Now they have moved into a new office building, but I currently work from home (which is the biggest advantage of working for this company.) However, they are cracking down and have recently installed Big Brother, a program that tracks your every keystroke and mouse click. It's hard to work under that much scrutiny when yearly salary increases are minimal even at your best performance."

"The co-workers were friendly, when they came to work in the office."

"If you like a laid-back environment, long lunches, and punching a clock, this is the place for you. If you are motivated to make a difference and achieve job satisfaction, they are not interested in changing the status quo."

What don't you like about working at CIGNA?

"Terrible lack of leadership, lack of direction, uninterested in change."

"Focus more on goals/objectives. Be open to change. Status quo does not move the company forward."

"Get everything in writing. The recruiter was fantastic, unfortunately the hiring manager was more focused on talking than doing."

"The culture of the company was not a good fit for me. I thrive in a highly ambitious setting and the other employees had no drive coupled with an entitlement attitude. Leadership was severely lacking."

"Focus on outcomes, not friendships, to move the company forward."

"CIGNA was the best company I worked for, they had room for advancement, it was a great company for a career opportunity."

"Be honest, be yourself and do not over promise and under deliver."

"I loved my job at CIGNA, unfortunately they had cut backs which affected my entire department. They outsourced our jobs."

"I had a great manager. He had an open door policy. He was very supportive of our team."

"Ability to help people through providing insurance options for the under-insured."

"Apply early. CIGNA is inundated with many applicants for every position."

"Senior management not clear as to where they want to go, or at least not very good at communicating their message (and holding accountable) their middle management."

"Send clear, concise messages that ALL divisions of CIGNA are accountable to uphold."
