"Good company. A lot of work over weekends, but not a fair compensation. Now work from home policies and too much micromanagement. Get stuck at one position for long and no road ahead."

"If you live in the area it's a great place to work. It's a long commute if you live elsewhere. The people are good to work with. It's a growing, privately held company."

"Great place to work, and located on the Central Coast of California. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Commuting from the Bay Area will be tiresome so you really need to live in Monterey County. Great employees and managers."

What do you like about working at Capital Insurance Group?

"I always try to find the best in all situations. I really like the Branch Manager. We got along like good friends from the start. I only stopped working there because I was recruited by Firemans Fund Insurance for a sizable increase in pay. With a baby on the way I made the decision to move on."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Just be honest. It is very venerable company."

What don't you like about working at Capital Insurance Group?

"There were only two things I did not like when I was with CIG. The office was extremely small and loud. It was arranged like a class room and I was at a cubical in front of all the clerical. This was a tough environ to work. Secondly there was not company car provided for a lot of travel."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Nothing. There was so much wisdom there I can not critique it."
