"I worked at Chuck E. Cheese for a great amount of time for 7 months. It was very interesting to meet new people for my first job. I knew my friend, Stuart, already from one of my high school classes so it was cool to see that he worked there too. everything was neat and organized as well. good customers too."
"Working at CEC made me fear for my life. I always carried a taser and pepper spray with me. The customers were absolutely horrible. There was even an incident where my coworkers were brutally attacked by a few “guests” because they were upset over a broken game. I’m thankful I wasn’t there the night of the attack. But I was saddened to hear about my coworkers being hospitalized."
"I have worked on and off with this company for a total of 5 years, the most recent time I came back was as a manager and it has been by far the worst experience I have ever had with the company. The company went from caring about its guests and workers to not even caring about anyone’s safety, when you work you are supposed to be able to grow in your process with the company, but the district manager who doesn't have any one reason to not like you plots to get rid of you with your fellow managers and outside managers from other locations. It got to the point where he would pull me from the FOH away from the camera view of kid check (where we make sure everyone comes together, leaves together) to yell at me continuously, not caring if someone was watching the FOH. This company says, “Everyone that comes together leaves together” but that isn’t in their values anymore, the GM and other new managers will just let anyone leave, half the kids don’t get stamped anymore on these managers shift, the safety of anybody’s children should definitely not be in their hands. If you decide to work here, be careful and cover yourself, cause they will turn on you."
"I've worked at Chuck E Cheese for 4 years, and compared to others I have gotten far in a short amount of time. But because their aren't any coordinator positions available, I'm at a standstill. I go to school so I don't really mind. But can be difficult if you wanted this to be your career. Max hours you can get a week is 30, only about 4 people excluding managers are allowed to be full time. That has been at all 4 stores I have gone to visit, train, or work at. A lot of people will say it sucks and like all jobs, it does have its moments. The way I see it, it's a job, if you're expecting to do anything except work, you're delusional."
"I worked for the company for about 6 years. It's a good 16 year old job, because it kicks you into learning how to manage yourself since most of them are lazy. District Manager never gives you raises, even though they expect you to work like you are making 20 an hour.. when in reality you can go YEARS without a single dime increase. No room for promotion, goes back to the company being so greedy. If you want side money for twice the work and deal with crazy cheap customers, apply now!"
"I have no complaints about this company. The only problem was that the people in charge were not real tech people. They're corporate folks with strict cookie-cutter guidelines. A one size fits all situations mentality which don't allow for critical thinking to effect real change."
"An excellent place to work for a starting job but no room for growth"
