I always encourage my managers to write it down. Document anything and everything you have concerns or questions about. Whether it has to do with a customer or an issue with an employee, after a long day the details get shady and it's important to have a way to go back and retrieve the day's events. My other suggestion is to remind yourself and your crew to just do it right the first time. Get it over with and out of the way. Nobody likes to do the same thing twice.
