"I have worked for CNMC for 1 year as an intern and now about 8 months as an employee. I enjoy my team, and my job very much. My only issue comes with not getting the opportunity to grow. I went through a lot of education and experience and I do not feel like I am being compensated appropriately."

What do you like about working at Children's National Medical Center?

"The people first and foremost. I was very immature looking back but there was a lot of tolerance and forgiveness if you got the very important work done. You were judged by your work. I wish I were still there, will never forget the opportunity to work for the children in that capacity and with that work crew."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Enjoy the region and all it has to offer. Treat your co-workers with care - you are with them more than family to a point."

What don't you like about working at Children's National Medical Center?

"I didn't get along with my boss. But what I didn't like, I now know had a real reason. Funny in that a favorite show of mine the TNT the Closer has an actress who lies more than my former boss and yet I like them both now! Go figure, a grasp of the whole picture helps. For example I didn't like on a personal level that she cursed. But later I realized that it was just her insecurity with me(a male). I should have justified her trust in me and my work but I didn't - a regret on my part."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"None, of all the jobs I had in different labs - it was by far the best run."
