What do you like about working at Chevron?
"With lots of training and hard work I was able to get out of the Tape Library and become a Systems Analyst."
What don't you like about working at Chevron?
"There were times when the male management would stop my release for a new position, and later apologize telling me they made a mistake (he thought I hadn't been there long enough). Nepotism was obvious where managers' sons would get hired, husband and wife teams in management, etc. The CEO gave himself 5 million dollar raise after they laid off all the employees in the Chevron Chemical."
What suggestions do you have for management?
"I saw where the company had to pay a multi million dollar law suit for discriminating against women right after I left the company in 1994. I hope things are better now. Management should tell the truth, quit paying the top executives so much money and laying off employees who have worked hard just because they make more money."

"I worked there years ago, before the merger with Texaco. I have no idea if opportunity of advancement has improved."

"There were no incentives or chance of advancement in the graphics department, salary was held at a minimum."
