"Be prepared to have the life sucked out of your body. Upper MGT is constantly in a reactive mode. A distinct lack of direction from the top leaves one breathless. Security initiatives consume all efforts to achieve any type of direction for your career. The IT segment (DCIS) is consumed with keeping the status-que. If you think you will get a promotion based on merit you will be sadly disappointed. MGT is determined to keep a cap on salaries and that translates into virtually no promotions. They promote treating each other like they treat external customers. Nothing is further from the truth. A state of fear paralyzes nearly everyone from taking any action to change a broken system."
