What do you like about working at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science?

"My being able to unravel the mystery of their credit balances in the Students Receivables account, my being able to implement a system in reclassing their American Express bill by charging them to the correct or respective GL accounts instead of just one Travel Account, my being able to organize their network directories and my doing their Escheat Project. A lot of negative Receivables accounts ($2.5 million) have never been analyzed for the last 10 years and I was able to identify how much was due to tuition overpayments, how much was due to lousy bookkeeping, how much needs to be researched further and how much needs to be adjusted already."

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"I guess my tip would be to just be yourself."

What don't you like about working at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science?

"I did not like their too much red tape meaning too many asignatories required for a simple writeoff of $14 in Student Receivables. They required 3 approvals or signatures which was ridiculous."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"I suggested that they start holding monthly if not weekly staff meetings so that the staff are aware of what projects need attention first so that they can operate as a group and not go in separate ways that nothing is finished on time."
