Cerium Networks Employee

"I have worked for Cerium Networks for a few years now. It has been an interesting and challenging work environment. The company does a good job investing in their employees, and the pay is fair. I would recommend the company to others both as an employer and as a VAR. It's a reasonably well run organization with a solid plan for future growth."

Cerium Networks Employee

"Leadership is unwilling to invest to support growth, they are content with status quo. This is causing very good talent to walk out the door! Customer service is suffering, customers are leaving. The apprentice program isn't working, inside sales group is not producing results. Cerium seems to be hanging onto the past which is a major factor in preventing their growth."

"While working at this company, I was tasked with fixing IT related problems ranging from a personal PC, to the company's network. I worked on average 48-65 hours a week on top of doing the apprentice program with them. I am still going to school and I should have completed that first before going to Cerium, with all the work they want you to do for 1800 a month."

Equipment Services Project Manager

What do you like about working at Cerium Networks?

"The ground troops were good to work with and everyone did what they could"

Do you have any tips for others interviewing with this company?

"Beware of the previous comments, when management indicates they work many hours, it is non stop. If you are not former Avaya employees or in the clicheof management, your not respected. 401k and profit sharing does not activity until 1 calendar year and only on the enrollement date... therefore it could be almost 2 years before enrollment. Bonus are unrealistic to obtain, because management sets the selling cost and PMs are handed a losing deal before in the beginning."

What don't you like about working at Cerium Networks?

"The expectation of management, represented and said run the people until they burn out and then replacement them (paraphrased)."

What suggestions do you have for management?

"Do not expect PMs to work 60+ hours 7 days a week... all the time. Research Harvards Management training for understand employees. Value employees instead of treating them like machines. Finally tell the truth to your employees instead of coveraging up the mis-management and most importantly.... communicate with the PMs with your expectations."
