"I enjoyed working with all the different types of people. Working towards a common goal."
"I had worked for CenturyLink for 20+ years, at the end the company's focus was more towards the stockholders then the employees. Was told at the first meeting with the CEO, after merging with Level 3, that he did not want the local side of the house, just want big business/enterprise. Not very welcoming from our new CEO."
"I worked for CenturyLink since 10/2000."
"The company is doing an excellent job by providing great value to customers. It is ranked #143 in Fortune 500 companies. The consulting organization which I'm working for is growing every day by gaining existing customer's trust and signing new contracts with others."
"I'm working at my company since over 9 months. I had a great time so far. They provide various opportunities to explore. I'm currently looking for a more different role so I'm in the market. Otherwise, I would say, I will always want to work for a company like Centurylink."
"I am working for CenturyLink as a Sr. Software Development Manager for the past 4 years. CenturyLink, Inc. is a global technology company headquartered in Monroe, Louisiana that offers communications, network services, security, cloud solutions, voice, and managed services. CenturyLink's is a good company for work and has very good Unifying Principles – Fairness, Honesty, and Integrity, Commitment to Excellence, Positive Attitude, Respect, Faith and Perseverance. It has challenges as every company does but nothing is perfect and we as managers work through those challenges and make things work!"
"CenturyLink has helped me springboard my career in QA automation and manual testing. Their actions, however, have often deviated from their Unifying Principals and communication. If you are looking for experience in a large corporate environment, CenturyLink may be a fit for you. I feel CenturyLink needs to continue to improve work-life balance for its employees as well as enhancing their employee appreciation and employee-centric mindset."
"It is a good place to work."
"Century-link, Inc. is a global technology company headquartered in Monroe, Louisiana that offers communications, network services, security, cloud solutions, voice, and managed services. The company is a member of the S&P 500 index & Fortune 500"
"I’ve worked for CenturyLink since 2007. I’ve found the company to be strong and committed to honesty, integrity and excellence. CenturyLink employs around 45,000 people and over 2,300 locations spanning 35 states. The company has customers in more than 60 countries."
"I worked for CenturyLink for the past 4 years. The company merged with L3 and is a global leader in network services and expanding to new IT services like Security, Cloud, and Managed Services. The company is dynamic and wants to part of the global IT movement to become more digital. The company is working to transfer its image of a telecom/network company to a technology company. With any major merger, the company is going to go through a transformation stage where it aligns resources. The process has not been easy but the people working at CenturyLink are focused on making it happen. It is a culture that is focused on revenue obtainment and minimizing waste. It certainly takes someone that has the focus to work at CenturyLink."
"Overall good company, except for the cancer, IN MY OPINION, which is many of the clique-ish K.C. folks. Lots of backstabbing, office politics, and general dishonesty I have come to expect from such a white-livered crowd of self-entitled urbanites. Maybe that's a Kansas thing and, I don't know, and perhaps typical of much of corporate America. However, I'm young, just out of college, and have a lot to learn. I just came in expecting friendly coworkers and lots of them seem so two-faced. Is it that way, everywhere? However, overall, the company is sound and pretty well-run, thanks to competent, honest, leadership in Monroe. Pay is fair, benefits are decent, and for telecom, I hear one could do a lot worse. I guess you got to take the good with the bad with any company. However, I wish management would address and rein in some of the negative atmosphere up in K.C."
"Really a great place to work! It's been really good for me coming from no experience to a whole host of knowledge in many different fields. The employees at this company are really great and I was always able to make friends and never really felt like I didn't enjoy going to work. Managers were always flexible and appreciative and most were very good leaders. The environment is laid back, but productive. The company mindset is also shifting to a more modern way of thinking, which I think will make it really shine."
"CenturyLink has been a good learning curve and has provided me with an in-depth knowledge of the networking field."
"Good place to work."
