Account Manager

"When I started with Central Freight, they were still going through adjustments with the purchase of another freight carrier. The merging of the operations of the two companies were proving to be difficult in the areas of account pricing and developing the linehaul operations. Maintaining the necessary equipment and IT issues were a constant. The terminal associates worked hard to maintain service and customer relations. The loss of several key corporate associates and the purchase of the company by a single person added to the situational issues. All taking place during my first 8 months with the company. Beginning with the early part of 2020 and the initial effects of the COVID pandemic, revenues were severely affected along with service, payroll reductions, another purchase of a smaller transportation company adding to operational issues. Many Sales and operational associates were terminated in June 2020, followed by additional cuts in September."
